I got you beat--they're playing in Milwaukee. But not just that. They're playing ON THE ICE right after a Milwaukee Admirals hockey game! Double whammy!

The guy in the Irish national on the far side of the mosh pit on the DVD is me. Attended the Sunday night show on Landsdowne Street House of Blues as the guest of Ken Casey ( I have helped out with his charity - The Claddagh Fund) It was an awesome show from the VIP balcony. The group was alot of fun backstage as well.
Am getting ready for tonight's show with some friends. I will be down in the first level tonight. -Regular tickets.
ALL seven Boston shows are long since totally sold out. The group of friends are from Calgary, Alberta, New Found Land, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Seattle, Washington. There will be 16 kilted at the show tonight - US.

As usual the show was excellent. I met up with many kilted men, both at the pub, and at the show. I handed out thirty-four of my greeting cards to Xmarksthescot.com. The show was almost perfect. Unfortunately near the end of the show when some of the men get invited onto the stage, one gent who was turned back by security when the stage filled, jumped from the stage into the crowd. He had over 20 stone to my 14 stone when he collided with my head and snapped my neck back, sending my spectacles flying to the tap dance of 2,640 fans. I grabbed him and spun, and tossed this oversized caber in the direction of one of the security staff. The fun ended for me. I held my position, and neck until the show ended. After the crowd dispersed, the head of security assisted me to the medical team. He informed me that my toss was accurate as the individual landed feet first in front of a bouncer, who then escorted him for an interview and I.D. before persuading him to leave the premise. I had to hire a cab to go to my home for a spare set of spectacles and ride back to Fenway to drive my car home.
My new neckwear prohibits me from piping. So I did not perform today. I am quite sore. I am out a $350 pair of prescription lenses, $80 cab fare and a period of time where there will be no pictures of me allowed. The new neckwear is ugly. I also will not be enjoying my pipes for a while.
The saving grace is that most of the fans are caring, and several assisted security in looking for my lenses. The parents of the children behind me thanked me for taking the brunt of hit and keeping the gent from hitting the children in his flight.
I see my physician next Tuesday to see if any real damage has occurred. I highly doubt it as I was able to do some work today with minimal pain.
The venue has clearly posted rules prohibiting this type of activity, for good reason. Other than for this one gent the crowd was excellent, and the show awesome. Scruffy was in his A mode, with perfect piping throughout the night. I enjoyed the venue and loved the music, I will be there 15 March next year, hope more can come to the greatest Saint Patrick's week show around.

I did forget to mention that part of the night was with the friends mentioned in a previous post and with my Piping tutor, who came with his girlfriend. We all enjoyed the night in the real truth.
