Here's some pics from the Wintermoon festival in Mackay, N. Queensland. Just got back last night (1 may) and am entirely trashed from one of the best festivals this country has to offer. It's still small, probably about 2500 in attendance and I hope it gets no bigger.I was up there touring with the Barleyshakes. Here's me lounging about in the greenroom area, in this case quite litterally. The other pic is me playing a set with Greg Arnold and Begsie of "things of stone and wood" fame, a well known Oz group from the 90's. Top blokes and awesome players. Erin
Great pics and story. Thanks for sharing them.
And meant to say I wore the tank the entire time and it went down a treat.Lots of comments and conversations, and plenty o0f smiles. I think I played about 10 show in three days! It feels great hitting the stage wearing it, but a little care needs to be taken behind the drum kit. Gotta keep it a family show if you know what i mean...

Wish my sticking was up to that standard! I'm just too lazy to practise, but I do so enjoy the full kit thang. When your next gig?
Ozmeath, I always thought that "kilts rock!" But now I have photographic proof. Sounds like a great time. Cheers

That would be the Maryborough Caledonian Pipe Band's 80th Birthday Festival, which this year is incorporating the Queensland Pipe Band Championships...I would expect about 30 or more Pipe Bands at this being the Qld's. It's on Sat June 17 & Sun Jue 18. http://www.pipebandsqld.org/event.htm Oh and something you might be interested in.
