Thank you for sharing that highlander_Daz. He was awesome. I was lucky enough to have seen him play in concert along with Hamish Moore & other greats. It was a memorable night indeed.
    Cheers,

I remember one time at Estes Park, He was there and one night we were at the brewpup. The pipers had gathered in the rear of the place and Gordon was pissed, not mad , the other kind, he grabbed his pipes and said "I am going to play their(the rock band's) *** off and he got up on stage and proceeded to do just that. Some men are ledgends and others have it thrust upon them, Gordon was one one or the other l)

His skill was quite simply astonishing, its good to see his legacy being carried on by the red hot chilli pipers, (Stuart Cassels was one of Gordons students)
heres an article where Stuart talks about Gordon

Gordons Family have establised a trust to assist young pipers study,

    www.gordonduncan.co.uk

Gordon was renown for his dedication to teaching young pipers many of whom are now awesome pipers. Ally Hutton and Ross Ainslie spring to mind but there are many more.
its perhaps ineveitable that a light and talent such as Gordons could only burn for half as long.
