    Talking Paul McCartney in Halifax

    Hi!
I do not know if I am post well but, i want to share with you a presentation of Paul McCartney in Halifax July 2009.

A beautiful song and with a great surprise "78th Highlanders Pipe Band". I hope enjoy it.

By far affection for all lovers of the bagpipes and especially for our friends of Canada.

I leave two Link, images from two angles, the quality is not of the best ones, but the essence is that matters!!

    Thank you for sharing this.

I first heard the song on a tape of Scottish music sung by a well-known Scottish folk singer (http://www.incallander.co.uk/scottishsongs/song29.htm), and, thinking that it was an old tune, learned it and began playing it for others. It became a standard at our clan gatherings along with such staples as Jim Maclean's "The Massacre at Glencoe" (1963), "Maggie," "The Road and the Miles to Dundee," and "The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond."

I found out that it was actually a new song by Paul McCartney! And so was "Glencoe." And I thought I was being so very "traditional."
