Phoenix, Arizona Pipers?
Greetings,
I was wondering if there were any Bagpipers in Phoenix, Arizona who may be obliged to take a student under their wing!

If you don't have any luck here, go to the forums at bobdunsire.com , it's the international piping site and you're bound to find someone who can help you.

Thanks! I have learned from experience to get experienced advice close-hand when possible.

Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band has been the "class act" in that area for decades.
Their site doesn't seem to mention it, but they maintain bands in Grade Three and Grade Four and have travelled to Scotland to compete at the World Pipe Band Championships. They are a serious competition band with many good players.
I see, by checking the Western United States Pipe Band Association site, that Mesa Caledonian are the state's only Grade Three band, making them the state's highest-ranked band.
You can't go wrong with that organisation.
Get in touch with them and find out who teaches- they must have several good teachers in a band like that.
About the Phoenix Pipe Band, they're not listed by WUSPBA as a member band.
