Wanted - Banjo
Does anyone have any idea where I can get a Banjo for fairly cheap? I am not looking for anything really fancy. I want to get it for my brother in law for Christmas. He is a great guitar player, and since they moved way out of town recently, Dueling banjoes has been a running joke.
However I know he will teach himself how to play it and he'd love it.
I can find them for $200 locally. I check ebay regularly, but I have a hard time trusting ebay (past experience).
I was hoping for cheaper.
Thanks guys.

Try Musician's Friend...usually free shipping if over 99 bucks.

Just remember...it is truly said that you will never hear the sentence: "That's the banjo player's Porsche." ever in your life.

It's for sitting around the fire and playing with friends. I think their little town has a population of 500.
Thanks for the tip. I was all set to order than I noticed they only ship Fed Ex. By the time it got here it would cost me double to going to the shop down the street.

I'm wearing this one out: what was that NAFTA thing all about, again? (Rhetorical...please, don't nobody explain it again!)
I always kid my buddy who owns the music store that we could sell "turn your bodhran into a banjo" kits...then he could sell 'em another bodhran again!
Happy plinking and plunking...

How do you get a banjo player off of your front poarch?
Pay for you pizza and send him on his way.
Whats the differece between a large pizza and a professional banjo player?
A large pizza can feed a family of four.

What's the difference between a banjo player and a mutual fund?
A mutual fund will someday mature and make some money.
Look for a Deering "Good Time" banjo. Nice little frailer made by really nice folks.
They used to be around $200 new but are more like $350 now but they show up used for cheap.

Yep, I've actually played my banjo in my kilt at a clan gathering. (how it got in my kilt, I'll never know)

Damn, another keyboard ruined. Have to remember not to drink coffee while I'm on line!

Or while in a recording studio. You'll never hear "let's ask the banjo player what he thinks":butt:
