The Band of the Irish Guard in Phoenix, AZ
I started a thread earlier but failed to mention where, so interested parties may not have had the chance to see this- (and I realize, this is still waaaay in advance.)
Band of the Irish Guards will perform at the Phoenix Symphony Hall on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at 8:00 pm.
I know this is a little bit in advance, but I received the Phoenix symphony Season Brochure yesterday.
Tickets are $25, $35, $45 (or $27, $37, $57 (?)- concert and one admission to the 2010 Arizona Highland Games.)
This performance will include Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Here's the website- www.army.mod.uk/music/corps-band/481.aspx

I can't imagine that the Pipers and Highland Dancers would not be kilted- but what do I know, maybe one of the brethren in the UK will answer to that.

More info- straight out of the hot mailbox moments ago-
This show includes the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Pre-concert activities- "See bagpipes up close, watch Irish step dancers, and try on a kilt in the photo booth."
If a bunch of us go that booth is going to be kind of crowded.

The pipers of the Irish Guards wear the safron kilt, so yes, they should appear in their kilts. Unless they are wearing their combat gear, of course!

I finally got around to purchasing tickets and noticed that ticket prices have dropped.
I have invited my son and a date to join us. If anyone else is interested in going perhaps we could have a meet up/dinner before the show.

Go raibh maith agat
This info was really appreciated. They will be appearing in Orange County probably within an hour of where I live in the south part of LA County.
I believe my wife and I are going to get tickets.
