Chicago Kilt Run 2011

Auld Argonian and I are planning to attend this 3k event this coming Sunday in Norwood Park. It's a 'fun run' that benefits the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and local schools. I went last year and it was a lot of fun. There's lot's of entertainment lined up after the run itself.

One of my co-workers just purchased his first kilt so he could participate. It will be his first day kilted!

My wife and I will be there. We did the Chicago Half-marathon yesterday (during which I saw no fewer than four kilts on runners), so we're looking forward to something a little shorter next weekend.

I just registered...kicking myself that running it seems to be out due to some very uncooperative tendons...it's only a 3k...oh well...

I'm going to be a spectator. If you are participating, you can always walk instead of run.

Well, I can't help with anyone but me. I set a new personal record for a 3k, but since I've only run one other 3k, I suppose that's not all that impressive.

Still, we had a good time.



While not exactly diced hose, my running socks were indeed red and black. That counts for something, right?
