    Fredericksburg newest watering holes

The Capital Ale House chain is opening its latest restaurant in historic Fredericksburg next Monday if this source is correct.

An Ohio chain is opening the Fredericksburg Pub in Spotsylvania Towne Center in the end of November. Looks like some good spots to hold Kilt Nights for the Rabble.

Well Ern, if I can manage to keep one of my kilts up on my new slimmer self, we may have to meet up soon. Heck, this Halloween candy may well make one of them fit soon enough!

    The Pub Fredericksburg

Today, I was in the Spotsylvania Towne Center (formerly Spotsylvania Mall) and thought I would try to find the new The Pub Fredericksburg. I haven't seen anything about it opening. The last I heard November was the projected month of starting.

I found the Hiring Center for the new pub. I went in and would meet Pub Manager Travis and General Manager Jim. There were kilts hanging from the walls! Turns out the wait staff are kilted! Turns out there were searching for a local piper. I was able to refer a friend to them who leads the Mary Washington Eagles Pipe Band.

I shared with them about XMarks and our Kilt Nights. They are planning a mid January opening due to construction delays. The Pub will actually be outside the Mall in a new building called the Village where they will be the first of several fine restaurants. Menu looks great and the bar seems to have it all and then some. This may be the place to have a Toast to the Bard on the 25th January.

Tonight, I saw a kilted gentleman in Walmart, who turned out to be with the new Pub @ Fredericksburg. He said the wait staff is enjoying their kilted experience. The pub opened on the 15th. Time for a Kilt Night, just in time for Robet Burn's birthday.
