GUINNESS BELIEVER NIGHTS - Any Info?
Hello!
I just received an email about the Guinness Believer Nights - described in the letter as: "Guinness has roaming parties though most major cities every year that is pretty much just two hours of endless free Guinness and good food. Some dude stands up and talks about how great Guinness is for like 30-40 minutes while you drink. They have Guinness and Harps on tap and bottled Guinness at your table with chances to win free swag. To sign up, go to http://www.believerrsvp.com/docs/lda/index.aspx and put in your email address and zipcode. The password is 'believer'. You can then select the date that you want to attend "
This seemed wayyy too good to be true but it seemed legit.
Has anyone been to one of these? I will be attending one in Philly on 11/30 - kilted of course!!
Any info?

I think the Mrs. and I will be trying to get to one of these in DC in December. It looks promising and I really don't mind listening to anyone talk about Guinness at all, even if it was for two hours...
...especially if I get free pints!

OE,
I have been to the one in Philly twice now, kilted of course, and they are a fun night out. Usually there is a representative from Guinness who will talk about the brewing process and stuff, but the main attraction is the good food and of course the Guinness. They have a cash door prize (last time it was $1000) and and other drawings for Guinness gear (usally stuff you can't buy) plus the usual give aways.

They're fun as long as you're with guys that you know. This is the first place that I wore the "Guinness Kilt"... which made them order 12 more. G_d Bless Guinness!
If I'm free for the Philly one, I have the reservation in. Since I know the presenter... it should be fun.

None in upstate NY, apparently. I ran the zip codes for Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Binghamton and Syracuse.
Ran Rochester and Buffalo just out of curiosity. Wasn't planning to travel that far!

Apparently nothing near me either. Maybe it has something to do with "Free Guinness" and local laws.
