I dug up an older thread and PM'ed the people that had showed an interest.

Bikeolounger, I had you on that list, so you've been notified all over the place. Sorry.

Indeed. Much though I want to join in the fun, my travel budget will not allow it this go-round. I'm looking at a TON of other events, kilt-related and not-kilt-related, that I want to do in the coming year, and there is always more want than resources.

I hope to be at the Scot's Games in Carrollton KY Mother's Day weekend, but that may be troublesome as well--that Saturday is my mother's birthday, and I'll also be in the hunt on my long-distance bicycle miles.

    *cries*

I would so love to come and I can afford it and everything.

    HOWEVER.

I need at least two weeks' notice to get a Friday night off and we had a server quit on us last night so I know I can't swing it.

    Plan another one real soon!

Men without pants plan kilt party

    By Gregg Montgomery
    gregg.montgomery@indystar.com

    January 24, 2008

About 15 men without pants from Indiana and neighboring states are coming to Fishers on Friday to see if an idea for kilts will fly.

Charles Daron Thomas, 29, makes modernized kilts -- with cargo pockets and without the pouch called a sporran -- from his home on Greenfield's east side. He has organized the first Kilt Night at Fionn MacCool's, an Irish pub at 8211 E. 116th St. But you don't have to be Irish to stop by in your kilt, he said. Some men expected at 9 p.m. belong to the Scottish Society of Indianapolis.

"Scottish. Irish. Either to me is fine. It doesn't matter to us."

Such gatherings are popular on the West Coast, said Thomas, who once lived in San Diego. He said some men learned about tonight's free event at XMarksTheScot.com and KiltsRock.com.
    Best regards,

    Jake
