What are people doing New Year's Eve???
My wife and I are going to a local pub. The Boys of St. James Gate are playing they are a local Celtic band. Suffice to say it is a kilt occassion as the band wear them and I will be in mine.

Wife is now receiving home nursing care so after the nurse puts her to bed at 10 I will go up to her room and watch the BBC Hogmanay show on TV. Should be much better than last year when I was home alone at Hogmanay. Of course I shall be wearing a kilt.

My godbrother's birthday is the 31st, so his parents always throw him a HUGE party. I will be over at his place, with a possible stop or two before hand at other friend's parties.

A stop at the Wine Sellers for a pint or two and conversation with friends. After that possibly dinner and then to home. It'll be a quiet new year's eve in the Standard house this year. The one tradition which I shall keep is going outside to enjoy the stars and give a short prayer of thanks at the stroke of midnight.

The wife and I will be ringing in the new year in Savannah, GA while the children are spending some quality time with their Grandmother. I'm sure we will find a good pub or two.

We have a bunch of friends from Glasgow who get together. If we don't meet up with them, we will grab a fresh Dungeness Crab and spend the evening watching the ball fall. The next day we have THREE Hogmanay parties to attend.

No plans yet, nothing special and there are no good pubs here with any bands playing, just staying at home with the dogs a good movie and a dram or two.

Scottish New Years is at 4pm local time so my friends Paddy's Pig will be playing (possibly kilted if we get them all suited up) at the Black Watch pub in Upland, Ca then it's back home to relax until Our New Years (gotta wear jeans to that part, it's gonna be wild and though I'm not at all bashful Grand Terrace {grand terrorists} is not a place I consider kilt-friendly or kilt-worthy)
Any of those fine folk can see my other friends just down the hill on friday the 2nd Kilts optional for Sligo Rags at Liam's in Colton, Ca.
