Scottish dreams, Scottish themes…Come celebrate Robert Burns’ birthday on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. as Glen Foerd returns to its Scottish roots of Glengarry, planted by Charles Macalester over 150 years ago. This tribute to Scotland’s national bard who penned the memorable holiday tune "Auld Lang Syne" will feature entertainment by a Glen Foerd and local favorite, Charlie Zahm. Bagpipes will be played by Charlie Rutan. Your taste buds will delight in a traditional Scottish supper to include cock-a-leekie soup, haggis pate, roast beef, tatties and bashed neeps, and tipsy laird. Admission includes food, coffee, tea, soft drinks, and entertainment. A limited cash bar will be available. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Scottish culture in a historic mansion, founded by a Scotsman. Tickets for this event are just $25 for members of Glen Foerd and $30 for non-members.
