Plan ahead for Great S.E.K.S.
Not that this would be our first S.E.K.S. experience, but mark your calendars for August 4. The Atlanta Pipe Band is Performing at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center with a show at 2 pm and one at 7 pm.
I propose an afternoon of good food and drink at Thorfinn Castle (I only live about a mile from the RCAC), and then we can relax and digest as we take in APB's performance. Kids and spouses/SO's welcome. I'll have a DVD of the 2006 Edinburgh Military Tattoo playing continuously in the home theater (unless the kids take over for a while). I might even hook up some outdoor speakers and thrill the neighbors.
An alternative would be to do the afternoon show and then hie us off to the Castle for an extended afternoon and evening.
In the meantime, what do you all think of a kilt nite some Thursday soon to watch the APB practice. They meet at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church
2375 Shallowford Road in Atlanta 7:30-9:30, and welcome visitors.

As our esteemed Cavscout has said...... "Excellent"!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Bump
The offer of a party in conjunction with the Roswell performance of the Atlanta Pipe Band is still open, and I thought I'd bump this thread up since it's been a while.
Anyone have this penciled into their calendars yet besides me? I used ink, BTW.

I will be there. Thanks for reminding us, as I somehow missed the first posting. Just say where and when. If plans are still to meet at your place, and you don't want to be burdened with preparations, shall we makes plans on what to bring, so we don't all show up with potato salad or whatever? Or anything else we can help out with?

I'll put out a suggested menu and folks can volunteer. Feel free to substitute a similar item that is your specialty.
I'll also send out directions to my place and the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.
I figure you can get your own selves in the vicinity of Roswell.
