Trip To Salt Lake City
It is possible, almost probable, that I will be in Salt Lake between 7/5 and 7/10 to visit my grandmother who has taken ill and to pick up my mum to bring back to Phoenix. If anyone is interested in a little get together let me know and we can start to plan- lunch, dinner, beverages- caffeinated or not, spirited or spiritless make no difference to me.
What say ye?
Best Regards

Well, if your route's up through Page, let me know....

I know that there are a few of us that are in SLC. I would be interested.

Paul, I'll keep you posted as things develop. Are you really as young as you look in your avatar?

This trip is definite, dates not quite firm yet, but fairly close. Its a long one day drive, but I am planning to stop in Page to meet the Kilted Gentleman of Arizona.

Little update-My plans are to leave on Monday, July 6th and return Friday July 10. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule is pretty open. If there is any interest in a gettogether let me know- breakfast, lunch, dinner, ice cream?
Riverkilt, don't quite remember the drive time to Page, but it could be a lunch stop, or mid AM coffee break. Another possibility is on the return- that would surely be later in the day.

Depends on when you leave and how much shopping you do at the roadside stands (best prices for Navajo jewelry).
Its 282 miles from downtown Phoenix to Page. About five hours. Six if you're East Valley and come up 87 through Payson and Clint's Well to Flagstaff.
Its another 378 miles from Page to Salt Lake City.
Happy to hook up if at all possible. I get an hour for lunch from noon to 1 on both Monday and Friday. I can jockey that if I have no appointments booked.
Keep me posted. Page needs more kilts!!
