Upstate (SC) Kilt Night/Day?
Is there a kiit night gathering in Upstate South Carolina?
If not, let's have one!
I work in Greenville (on Woodruff Rd.) 5 days a week (including 2 Saturdays a month).

Hey MacWage. Welcome aboard. With the Greenville games this weekend, perhaps you can make it happen. Although I'm not in the upstate, my wife hails from Anderson. We will be in Anderson over the weekend to celebrate DW's birthday and I hope to get over to Greenville sometime, proably Friday evening for the parade.
Even if I'm unable to show, I hope you can find a couple of guys to meet you.

Actually, I've been to Camden, to the historical sight and to preach at the Rowan ARP Church over in Lugoff.
I've got denominational meetings this week in Flat Rock, NC, so will probalby be working at the store on Sat. Once I get my Schedule tomorrow, I'll see what can be done about meeting this weekend in Greenville area.
If your coming near Clinton, let me know (by PM). I check here more than email, more interesting and (for now) easier.
Would anyone be interesting in gathering somewhere near the main I-26 Clinton exit? Its 35-40 min from Greenville, Spartanburg, and northern Columbia, 1-1.5 hours from Aiken/Augusta area, and 2-2.5 hours from Charlotte and Charleston.
What about a Scottish rabble gathering?

Always good to find folks that "know" one's hometown. I see Rowan is growing, with new construction as we "speak". I looked at your profile and WOW I was just at the Woodruff Road HL just last weekend! Where do you propose at I-26? I am familiar with the Blue Ocean, but thats about it. Never headed into town from that location, so's I'm ignorant about anything else.

I'm up for that! And hey MacWage, I work on Tower drive which is just off of Woodruff. Let me know when you all want to get together, I'll be there.

What about Friday at 9 somewhere on Woodruff Rd this friday? That will coincide with the G'ville Highland games/gathering/or whatever they call it.
I'll be off-line until Thursday night, so MattG will have to decide.
As for a more regional meeting, I came home on the main Clinton exit (52, I think), which is JUST south of the 26/385 split. A good place will be Blue Ocean (appropriate due to its size -able to seat more than a few, if enough are interested- and fish as a staple food of Scots, especially herring, and present in modern "fish and chips"). Also at that exit are MacDonalds (which I avoid for specific reasons), Wendy's, Hardee's, and TWO Waffle Houses (two of the busiest in the country and the only exit with 2 WHs on the same exit).
When would be a good time/date for this gathering?
What Ya'll think?

This Friday night they are having the ceilidh downtown, so I think most of us would still be there at 9. I'm not sure what time Rathkeltair is playing, but I think it's supposed to be right around the Hyatt somewhere. Hope to see alot of kilts there!
