On Thursday, We went up to Whistler and It was supposed to be a short trip, but the road construction prevented us from arriving Whistler quickly.

We left Vancouver at 10:30 and we arrived at Britannia Beach to visit the BC Museum of Minning. The Mine was a copper mine was was turned into a museum in the 70's. There were lots to see and that included a tour of one of the many tunnels. We were shown different drills and machines. It was a fun and educational tours. The Museum was also used by various movie production companies for filming various TV/Film projects, such as Highland:the TV Series, X-Files and Scooby Doo 2: Monster Unleashed.

After the Museum, We dined at White Spot, a local eatry.

We didn't get to Whistler until 5 o'clock. We tried to get up to the mountain, but unfortunately the Cable cars were shut down for the day. We were limited to a walk at the Base. We were able to watch some Downhill Mountain Bike racers dropping off from jumps and various stunts. Being a Cyclist myself, I was pleased that every one enjoyed the the show.

Whistler Villiage was a Swiss inspired resort and still offer a good experience and plenty to see. Bikercelt's future son-in-law was so impressed with Whistler, he is planning to return to Whistler in the near future.
