Airman in a Kilt
New kilt owner coming from Tinker AFB in Oklahoma ... Soon as I get my kilt back from having it hemmed up a bit (i have short legs I guess) i'll be wearing it out and about ... My first opportunity would be to prove to my coworkers that i'm man enough to wear the kilt (second would be later that day at a local medieval fair)
i'll try to post a picture of me in my outfit this friday ... It's a blackwatch, matching garter ties and black hose
i've been browsing the kilt advice subforum and now feel confident about my choice in clothing.

I'd go with solid colored garters personally, but other than that, good luck!
PS...welcome to the forum from and Army guy.

Welcome, from another Soldier. And thanks for your service
"My beloved America, thank you for your children. If your children want to become soldiers I will train them. When they are hungry I will feed them. When they are thirsty I will give them water. When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."

Welcome from Stillwater! Is that the Norman renfaire you're going to? Anyway, if you like that sort of thing, we've got a good music and Celtic festival every summer up here (http://www.okcelticfest.com/) that you might want to mark on your calendar for.
