Albannach Lass, American born, Scots by heritage, and a Yankee in the South
Greetings all,
I stumbled upon X Marks the Scot and joined weeks ago and promptly got busy with the Highland Games and never posted...anything...nuthin' not even a Hullo. Well I'm here to remedy that.
So, I ran into this handsome crew of Scots at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. Come to find out one of Clan Thom(p)son's members (3rd from the left) is a member of the forum. We had a nice chat at the games and he helped man the Clan tent. I am the membership secretary and so was there as well.

Nuthin' better than a man in a kilt.
Oh, and Hullo!

Well met my dear. I know for a fact that "Southern Hospitality" is alive and well in Asheville. It is a fine trait those here promote. Welcome.

Aloha from the Highlands of Hawaii
I was hoping to be able to get to the Grandfather Mountain games this year, but unfortunately I could not swing it. I moved to Hawaii 15 years ago from Greenville, North Carolina and have not been able to get back there since.
Maybe one of these days they will drop the price for flights from Hawaii to North Carolina where they are half-way affordable, lol.
