I'll try this again! I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to take the plunge and join. I really enjoy everything related to Scotland, I grew up in a home that was very proud of our Scottish Heritage, our family hails from Mauchline. Seeing a man in a kilt was not something unique or odd in our house and now my 1 year old is proudly wearing his own. I play the bagpipes, specifically the Smallpipes. I live in Salt Lake City and work as an Autism Specialist at the Carmen B. Pingree Center. I look forward to participating on the forum. -Jason

I have never understood how horny toads still survive. I was back tp cedar and up at mammoth cave for the first time since kindergarten this summer and saw one near the entrance and picked it up without much problem. To not be able to get away from a 55 year old man doesn't say much about their ability to evade predators. I guess the horns work. Welcome from a fellow Utahn (presently in Davis co., soon to be moving back to Utah co.)! It looks like there are enough of us around here now to put together quite the kilted get-together...

Welcome from the Highlands of Montana. I grew up in SLC. It has changed a lot since then.
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.
