A belated hello
Having popped up a year ago, asked a question and then headed to a bridge to lurk under, I thought I should actually say hi.
I first started wearing the kilt back in 2002 (heady undergraduate university days), but drifted away after my kilt (Geoffry (Tailor) indestructible) got eaten by moths while I was away from home for a significant period.
I recently (as in past two years) had another made, and am now back in business. Despite hailing from a combination of the south west of England and Cumbria, I am now fortunate enough to live a few miles from St. Andrews; a beautiful location on the east coast of Scotland. Thanks to work I have a fairly nomadic lifestyle, but am settled here for a few years at least!
I got papped at the wedding of two close friends recently; breaking with tradition and wearing brown shoes - the horror!

Hello GB (your name is a bit of a gray area) and welcome to X Marks. Glad you have stayed with us and I look forward to your participation.
Your dressed very smartly and the brown shoes look just fine.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Hi greybadger!
You look very sharp indeed. Very glad you have join the rabble instead of continuing to lurk under a bridge.
Be sure to protect that outfit from the moths, you don't want a repeat.
