A bit of love for Barbara Tewksbury

Ms Tewksbury made my kilt for me a few years ago and the other day I realized that I had this photo and thought her online community would appreciate yet another endorsement of her fine work.
Here is a photo with my grandson on my shoulders at our local Highland games. The kilt is in Lochaber Hunter from tartan made by Lochcarran.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

It’s the Lochaber tartan in the weathered color scheme from Lochcarron. Nice large set. Nice color contrast in the weathered (and Wilson’s) colors.

I'm not a fan of Weathered Colours but that aside, note have the Lochcarron very is a structurally a smaller sett. They reduce the size of the larger squares disproportionally compared with Wilsons' setting. Note also the dark shades of this c1790 specimen.

Noted. My point is that Lochcarron weaves this with a sett size of about 10”, which is larger than average in their strome.
