Board Newbie from Texas
Hey there everybody!
My name is Zac, I am 29 from Fort Worth. I am a Navy Veteran who is now a full-time student, using my GI Bill. I also work as a Bladesmith, and design custom Drinking Horns in my Spare time.
I have been wearing kilts since a very young age, in fact i was 11 before I realized that not everyone wore them, lol. My Grandmother used to make mine, but her arthritis put an end to that years ago. I currently own two casual kilts, one from Got-kilt.com - a Black Steart- and a plain black one from Edges of Time (Ebay Store). Once my tax return comes in, I plan on buying an SWK Standard Royal Stewart, and eventually plan on a USAK Edzell 5yd Wool to wear for Memorial and Veteran's day Parades and events I take part in.
I guess I fall under the more "Casual" catagory of Kilt wearer, usually wearing my kilts with a my Knee-high Son of Sandlar boots, or Doc Martens and a tee shirt with all the tattoos hanging out, though I do posess a PC rig.
I have been reading these boards for quite a while, and look forward to interacting with everyone here.

Thanks everybody for the Warm Welcomes!
According to my Grandfather, my Family were Finns who "moved" to Scotland around the begining of the 12th century and became part of the Stewart Clan.We have always worn the Stewart Tartan in various incarnations. My Grandfather and grandmother both came to the US with their parents when they were very young.
Even though I am very proud of my Scottish Heritage and wear my kilt or some snippet of Scottish pride almost everywhere, I admit that my main field of study has been Viking culture. I hope to learn more about my Scottish roots, and hope that I can be a benefit to this community.
