Chattin member from wv living in sunny florida
Hello and thanks for letting me me a member. Lot of questions and looking forward to attending the Scottish outings and meetings in Panama city, Florida. Yes my last name is Chattin...my dad, grandfather, great grandfather were Chattins, so I guess I am a Chattan Clansman by blood. Looking forward to learning and sharing on this site.

pronunciation of Chattin
" How do you pronounce your surname"
1. It is pronounced " chat-in"...even though many have pronounced the name many ways..
2. I have a question that my brother asked..." if chattan has a tartan of specific colors then can a Chattan choose
other tartans that make up our clan, for example any of these....
Clan Davidson, Clan Farquharson, Clan MacBean, Clan MacGillivray, Clan MacIntyre of Badenoch, Clan Mackintosh
Clan MacLean of Dochgarroch (the Macleans of the North), Clan MacPhail, Clan Macpherson, Clan Macqueen
Clan MacThomas, or the Clan Shaw of Tordarroch ????
Sorry I should maybe have opened this question up in another thread. But Hello to all
