Do well and let them say Hello.
Greetings people of X marks,My name is M...... Gordon (I like a bit of anonymity), I'm a 22 year old male from Denmark.
My great grandfather migrated from Scotland to Denmark where he started a family of his own and that is why I have the honor of being a Gordon.
I have always been proud of my last name and a lot of my friends call me Gordon because it's such a rare last name, I have never met a Gordon that's not a close relative but I know they are there, we should be around 90 Gordons in Denmark out of a population of 5.6 million people.
I have always wanted a kilt in the Gordon tartan but I knew I didn't have the guts to wear it, I have only witnessed people wearing kilts twice, one of times it was people all dressed up in the national suit the other time it was casual at a pub.
But then 2 weeks ago I was walking home in 27 degrees(Celsius) wearing jeans and a long sleeved black shirt, I was sweating like a pig, when one of my friends (who plays bagpipe and loves scotland but has no relation to scotland what so ever) walked past me wearing a kilt all casually, I thought it looked so comfortable that I went straight home to find one on the webs.
The best I could find and afford was a Standard Acrylic Kilt from Stillwater Kilts in USA so that's what I got, and here it is:
Mighty fine if I should say so myself, I'm really happy about it.
I took it for a walk and a train ride and the looks on peoples faces was hilarious, I believe very few people here have actually seen a guy in a kilt.
The kilt was so comfortable I can't wait to put it on again, I can unfortunately not wear it at work.

Welcome from the highlands of Central Massachusetts, New England, USA. I have a nice heavy Gordon kilt from What Price Glory - great value for the money. I got it a little less expensive from another member here. You can find them reasonably priced on ebay surplus from the military - especially for a thin young man like yourself.

Hello M,

Welcome from Calgary, Canada! A lighter kilt can be incredibly comfortable in warm weather due to the natural ventilation it provides.
