An Englishman in Scotland
Good afternoon all,
Just a quick note to introduce myself - as the title (and my username) would suggest, I'm English living in Scotland and have recently been told that I'm now 'one of us' - and made an honorary Scotsman by my other/better half.
Having absolutely no knowledge of the sartorial side of this, I've ended up here. I look forward to picking your collective brains on what I should/shouldn't be doing or wearing!
Best wishes,
PL

Well met PL. My "better half" tries her best to make me a better man (by her own design). I feel yours has her eye on a bigger prize. Welcome.

from the Scottish Borders.
I am Scottish born, and living near the border with England I have many English friends, some living on the Scottish side of the border and others in that great northern English city of Carlisle.
As you have discovered Scotland will welcome you and make you feel very much at home.
You don't need to be born here to be one of us.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

Welcome, from Inverness-shire and British Columbia. Best of advice will be found on this forum. Use the 'search' feature and find good threads on pretty nearly all subjects related to traditional Highland dress. Some pretty good contributions on contemporary kilts and attire, too.
