Hello fellow kilt enthusiasts.
After scouring this sight from end to end, I decided it would be appropriate to actually sign up. I look forward to learning more and more about Highland Dress, as well as hearing about other user's experiences. My family has been attending the Costa Mesa Highland Games since before I was even born. Along with that we have various family friends who were actually born in Scotland. This handful of Scots influenced me tremendously in more ways than one.
I'm proud to say that I started the long journey of playing the pipes last year. In September of 2013, I started lessons on the chanter and by March of 2014 made the transition to the pipes. I seem to be picking up pretty quickly, as I already have a few tunes that I can play well, and hope to compete as a soloist at Costa Mesa next year.
