Dave,
That's a good question. Have you ever attended the Highland Games? I know there is one coming up in Altamont, NY. There might even be one closer to you.
Welcome to XMarks!

Good luck! I have all but given up on looking. I know a few in neighboring states, but usually only see other kilts when attending a Highland gams or festival.
Thanks everyone for your help. I found the "Ithaca Scottish Games and Celtic Festival" web site and have sent the organizers an e-mail requesting information on any year-round meetings or get-togethers.
Welcome aboard Dea from Southwestern Ontario. Another possibility might be to post something on the regional section here. It isn't a well used part of the Xmarks website, but it is there. Just a thought...maybe for all of us.

There is an "xmarksthekilt map" somewhere which members can use to find other members in their locality and to add themselves so that they can also be found.
Weeelll - once I was walking along the row of shops near us and passed a young couple, she was wearing a narrow strip of denim for a skirt and a couple of handkerchieves worth of fabric for a blouse and it was losing the fight to stay closed - I was almost out of earshot when he enquired 'why doesn't your skirt move like that?' You've made a good start by joining this forum. Keep an eye on the Kilt Night postings for your area. And I ditto the comment about Altamont - there are a number of the rabble who attend that games every year.
