    Great Evening from Central N.Y.

    Hope you are all well,
I'm John, from C.N.Y., upstate that is
    where cows outnumber people

I wear my kilt mostly to play paintball in, but have also worn it to the great american irish fest
wore it to work, once, just once
drew alot of attention, the women loved it, the guys busted my chops, it was all good
    BUT,
my manager had a huge problem with it as there is a company uniform poilcy and wearing a kilt was pushing the boundries of the rules

Well met John. Lots of our members have kilted at work problems. I couldn't for some types of jobs I do but could pull it off occasionally. I choose not to but get the chance to kilt in public often. I hope you will be able to also. Welcome from the deep South.

Welcome to XMarks. If you get a chance, you should go visit Kilt Kamp 2017 which is going on in Clinton, New York, right now. Not sure how far that is from you....

Where in central NY? I live on Long Island now, but spent 3 years in Loudonville, outside of Albany.

It is 1100+ miles, 17.5 hours driving. But our knowledge of where your cities are is probably the same as your knowledge of ours.

I was responding to johnnyk, who said he was from central New York, but did not specify a city (that I can find). Did I miss something?

I was responding to KiltedKnome's comment about not knowing how far he lived from the Kilt Kamp.
