I just discovered this forum and am honored to be accepted here. I come from stock of Scots who fought with the British Empire Loyalists in the War of 1812. Lindsay families still occupy part of the land grant given to loyalists in Nova Scotia. My father came west to work with the Canadian Pacific Railroad as a conductor, and I am his last surviving child.
I have scores of nieces and nephews across Canada and cousins galore!
Now I am retired and have time to explore my heritage and customs. Both my sons were married in the last few years in kilted ceremonies and are becoming more acquainted with their lineage.
I look forward to being educated more in the traditions and customs of our group and some great discussions over time.
