Greetings!
Once a long time ago, a young girl and a young man in Scotland fell in love. Alas, her family would have none of this young Robinson wooing their fair MacGregor daughter.
So the young couple did what any romance novel says they should do: they eloped to America (along with some of the more rogue-ish Robinson uncles).
A couple hundred years later, one of their distant decendants joined this forum as he researched some bits and pieces in preparation for his wedding (August '10).
Greetings, all!
I've have a small selection of kilts including: a gift from a friend who went to Scotland and got me a Kilt made by a Scot (in the Royal Stewart), an AmeriKilt in a olive canvas and a Alt.Kilt (Prototype 2) in an awesome faux distressed leather (looks like distressed leather but is actually a poly blend of some sort--- looks like leather with none of the weight)
And soon I'll add another Alt.kilt--- though this time in the Modern Gunn tartan.
Jason

Hi, Jason – a lovely romantic tale there.
One small correction: you are a descendant of that couple, not an ancestor (common mistake).
Welcome to XMTS from the bottom end of Africa.

Correction made. Thank you.
(It actually looked wrong when I wrote it so I looked up the spelling... clearly that's not what was striking me as wrong)

Didn't mention:
I'm currently in Madison, WI.
Also bought a Prince Charlie Jacket and Waistcoat from a Pakistani outfit (ebay) that wasn't half bad (though I should have trusted them to get the size right--- I got it larger on purpose to allow for room to make adjustments).
