Greetings
Found this site by accident during some research for my kilt accessories. I've wanted one since about the 6th grade which was a long time ago. Finally got mine ordered. My family is Mackay from the Sutherland region in Scotland. In the 6th grade i had to do a family tree and it was then that i heard from my great grandfather the stories he had been told of our family history way back into Scottish history. Stories of places that the average people didn't know until after popularized by movies. While most kids played army i stormed the field at Bannockburn, fought the Zulu and many other adventures with a towel wrapped around my waste.
My wife thinks the obssession is a little weird but it's my thing i guess. I've finally ordered my first kilt. but will not have it for another 11 weeks. (i would grumble but it wouldn't do any good.) I'm looking into turning it into more than jut some formal thing and instead will be using it for some historical purposes in my hometown. anyways it is great to have found a community of people that share some of my interests and looking forward to sharing some fun times and good conversations here.

Korvyn, welcome from Little Rock. I second what RonnieMac13 said, except bring your wife, too. You both will find people to commiserate with.
Let us know what historical purposes in Fort Smith you are talking about. You never know, some of us just might show up.
And so I sing with lyric lilt,--

If every male would wear a kilt!
