Greetings
Always liked kilts. In fact I owned and wore a utility kilt. Many don't consider that the "real thing," however I only wear pants when work or sport require. Also been known to sport the South East Asian Dhoti or Lungi. Now that my sons are in the Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band (the feeder band to Simon Fraser University Pipe Band) they are in kilts and there will be a lot more Highland Games and Tournaments to attend.
Lowe is a Welsh surname, but do to past mercenary deeds we are allowed to wear the McLaren colours. I currently choose the Freedom Tartan.
Never suspected to find a sight quite like this one.

Glad to hear from every one. XMan, the Thursday Kilt night sounds nice, accept for my messed up work schedule. My Side Drumming has progressed that my instructor is looking for a Pipe Band I can join. There will be Kilts! ThistleDown, we've done the Comox/Courtaney Games, the Victoria Games, couldn't male Bellingham but will be at Coquitlam (as I live in Burnaby) and going to try for Kamloops. My boys may be RMM, but my instructor is Triumph Street. If I do get into a third band, then you will see mighty mixed loyalties. On top of that, at the Comox games, my middle son got to play a tune with the Kamloops Pipe Band, his first with a pro band. I just wanna' hear the Pipes and feel the Drums.
I was given a Kilt of unidentified Tartan. Outside of posting it as mu avatar, if some one knows how to post a picture here where all can see and some one can identify this Tartan, please let me know.
