Greetings from about the middle of the USA, Omaha, Nebraska
Hello All,
I have just joined today. I live in Omaha, Nebraska with my husband and our two children. I am a seamstress and stumbled across this form while looking for a pattern for flashes. Our son just called me and asked if I knew how to make a kilt. I promptly chuckled and said, "Yes, do, have already and certainly can make you one!" He is a groomsmen for a very quickly up coming wedding.
So beyond the funny story, I am a seamstress and have already made a kilt and planing to make more. I have made many costumes over the years. I grew up going to the Eastern Rendezvous, 1750-1850 reenactments, so I do have lost of period patterns. I am an avid advanced knitter as well. I love to knit pretty much anything especially if it is lace. I also love to learn about anything Scottish or about fiber arts, including dealing with kilts and wool. If I know about it, I am always willing to share my knowledge. If I don't know about it, I am always willing to learn. So for all you sewers and knitters I am happy to trade tips and tricks to help along the way!
Jaime
