Greetings from northern Virginia.

I've been browsing the board for several months now but procrastinated in joining until today.

I got my first kilt in 1982, made by Scottish woman in Florida. Since then I've acquired two more traditional kilts made in Scotland, one of Matt Newsome's 4-yard box pleated kilts, and a pv casual kilt that I picked up in Edinburgh a few years ago.

I've been a Scottish reenactor (F&I and Rev War periods) and living historian (the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion) for many, many years, and over the years have collected three great kilts and made a crude philebeg.

While I enjoy wearing the kilt, I tend to restrict much of it to Scottish related activities - Games, Country Dancing, living history programs, and special occasions. I'm hoping that the discussions on the board will encourage me to wear it more often than I do now.
