Hello Xmarkers,

I'm Steve, hailing from south Louisiana USA ,for many years now. I've long had an interest in my family history and can claim Scots ancestry on my mothers side and Scotch-Irish on my fathers. Funny enough I've ended up with a German surname, but I'm a Celt at heart!

Anyway, Last year I borrowed a friends kilt to wear at a local renfair on Celtic weekend and thought, "you know, this is alright!" I found this site and have enjoyed lurking for awhile and learned many usefull things about kilts and the wearing of them! Still working out my lineage in order to pin down a proper clan affiliation, but in the meantime, to get into the swing of it so to speak, I got a nice kilt in Black Watch tartan.

To all you experienced kilties, thanks for the knowledge and sense of community I've found here.
