Greetings from Austin
I don't know why it's taken me so long to register on this forum, since I've been piping for over 25 years and wearing the kilt as long. But here I am at last. And it's a blessing, since not being active in a band for a while, not having regular access to instructors, and being far away from other pipers means I'm living a rather solitary and lonesome life in terms of Scottish culture and resources. I look forward to learning all I can here, making collegial contacts, and sharing what I know when I can.
All for now, but some more details are posted with my profile. See yer!

Welcome from just up the road in Waco. If you are looking for a band, you might check out the Austin Area Emergency Services Pipe Band. I'm not sure if they require all members to be police/fire/EMS or not.
