Greetings From the Big Smoke
Greetings One and All,
I am so glad that I was informed of this website and look forward to posting and chatting with the folks here at XMTS.
I have worn kilts in the past, but of the medieval style for living history reenactment. I am looking forward to wearing my first modern kilt.
I live in Toronto and am also looking forward to meeting the members of SOKS; it was a member who told of this page, and sharing fellowship and whiskey with them as soon as I can.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend any Robbie Burns celebrations as my work schedule does not allow it. Trust me, I am not happy about it but such is life.
I have already created a tartan at ScotWeb and am really excited about saving the money to have it made into an 8 yard kilt. It's called Nite Shade II if you are interested in seeing it. I like things on the darker side, as my screen name may tell you (it was my name in the SCA when I did medieval living history).
For the time being until I save up the $2000 for a Price Charlie outfit in my designed tartan from ScotWeb I am looking at the heavyweight kilt in the Black Stewart from SWK. From what I have found on here, their quality and customer service is very good and their prices are great. $200 for the kilt and accessories is a far sight better than $2000 so hopefully it won't be too long until I get that outfit together.
Until then, I have joined the SOKS and SMALL social group. Two of my favourite things, kilts and scotch...Can't go wrong with either.
I am truly happy to be a part of XMTS and look forward to making new friends and enjoying all that XMTS has to offer.
With Greatest Respect,
Matt Alexander

Welcome from the slightly cleaner air west of you. $2000 for an PC ensemble yikes, check out our own Slohairt in Kitchener at Keltoi Celtic clothing. You might just be happy and as long as your kilt doesn't get built before mine, I might just be happy too.
