Greetings from Central Texas
Newbie “Mark” here, from Bastrop County, in Central Texas USA.
Thanks Steve for letting me in !!
Been tracking genealogy for several years, decades actually, and have family ties to both Scotland (Dads side) and Ireland (Moms side) several generation back .. which might explain my love of bagpipes, bugles and drums...
A visit to the local Renaissance Faire rekindled the desire to go Kilt ... so, I’ve got one on order ... in Ancient Campbell Tartan .. and may well become the preferred attire at family events !! I have a lot to learn on how to wear it ... what occasions require which accessories, Fly Plaid, Shirt, tie, vest jacket ... It’s gonna be fun !!

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the English midlands. You've come to the right place for advice. though some of it may prove contradictory! - there are always going to be differences of opinion on what it right or appropriate.
