greetings from Colorado
Awright? How you doing?
Im new to wearing Hielan' style clothing, but of course as an adult on our modern world Ive had some exposure to Caledonian fashion and customs.
My name is Declan, a good Irish name which was exceedingly rare to be saddled with when I was young, but which has become much more common to hear in the past 5 or 10 years...but I really only have the faintest of actual connection to things Irish or scottish. Despite that, I do feel connected and so Ill proceed with that.
Im proud to join the Kilted ranks, and Im happy to have found such an informative forum!

Welcome to the XMTS Community Declan! Ah Broomfield, now there's a flatland of Colorado location, not quite like the western part of Boulder proper eh?

Welcome from the mountains of northern New Mexico! Declan is a fine name, whether Scots/Irish, or not. I hope you enjoy the forum.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Hahaha, yes...West Boulder indeed. Broomfield is definitely under the influence of the Boulder Bubble. I've lived amongst the foothills enough during my life to avoid being labelled as a "Flatlander" I hope, current geographic location notwithstanding!

Thanks for the welcome, Mookien (and you as well, Hawk). My SO hails from New mexico, she grew up in Espanola. NM is a favorite vacation getaway spot for us.

I'm also planning to attend the Celtic Festival in highland Ranch this weekend with my family...kilted of course. I hope that I'll run into some nice folks from this forum while I'm there!

Hmm...nice folks, you say? None really come to mind...
...unless you run into Nighthawk, who, sadly, is much less engaged with the forum than he used to be. You can find him at the RenScots area, humbly exhibiting his mad leather-working skillz.
Or head to the MacLea (Livingstone) Clan tent to meet Livingston (odd choice for a name, ennit?). He's a very welcoming, sweet fella--unless you're me. He only lets me step into the tent if I bring a pretty girl.
I won't be there on Saturday, but Sunday I'll be trying my best not to look foolish over at the athletic fields, throwing heavy stuff in the 190# class. Just yell at the little guy in the purple kilt and I'll throw you a wave or come chat if we're between things.
Welcome to X Marks!
