Hello all! I'm Andy Robertson, based in the East Midlands (UK), and discovered this forum whilst searching for information about the Ashbourne Highland Gathering and thought it would be my sort of place to hang out

My immediate family is Scottish, whilst I was born south of the border. My wife and I got married in Dunkeld, Perthshire a couple of years ago, for which I wore my Robertson Hunting kilt. I'm currently learning the pipes from my father who has played for the last 40 years and will be competing at Ashbourne again this year.

I was surprised to find that I'm not completely new to this forum, as I found a couple of pictures of my wife and I on here already:

Welcome to XMarks from east of you in the middle of Thetford Forest in Norfolk.

That was me that photographed you last year at Ashbourne. Unfortunately, I won't be there this year as it falls on the same day as the Harpenden Highland Gathering. I (we) have a stall there every year as a meeting place for members.
