Greetings from Huntsville Alabama!
Greetings from Huntsville Alabama. My wife and I recently attended the Celtic Fest in Jackson MS and on a whim decided to buy a wee tartan kilt for my two year old son. After walking around all weekend and learning about and seeing all flavors and forms of kilts, I have fallen in love with the garment. I've never been fashion conscious (and many would no doubt consider my newfound fascination with the kilt to be in keeping with that tradition), but I think these things look glorious, especially blowing away tuxedos for formal affairs.
Anyway I'm now in the market for my first kilt. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to some like minded folk.

Excellent! How long have you been wearing and have you caught any flack for it? Can't say I've ever seen a "kilt in the wild" here in the south.

Hi lake. I have the same question for you as I have for James above. How often do you wear and what responses do you get? In fact, any others who want to chime in please do so, especially if you're from the southern US.

I only recently was acquired by a kilt (it chose me), and am diligently and longsufferingly putting together a day and evening 'kit' as it is called.
They are a rarity here as well. Outside of my local St.Andrews Society, I have yet to see one.
