Greetings from Illinois (and Wisconsin)
Hello all. I know, a chick on the kilts board. My fiance' and I recently delved headfirst into the world of kilts, but he's not much of a forum poster. So I thought I'd do the honours.
After pining for a UK for years, we finally took the plunge a few weeks ago. His first kilt was a lovely olive UK original & we both love it. We followed it up with a grey UK Mocker and hope to add a tartan yet this year. The kilts look so good. While we were at it, I did pick up a black "skilt" for myself & absolutely love it. I've owned quite a few tartan skirts, including a Gordon hostess skirt for years, but the cut & swish of a kilt, even in canvas, has no compare. You guys are so lucky! I'm planning on adding to my collection as well.
My fiance planning on wearing highland dress to the wedding, so I'm sure I'll have a flood of questions. I was so excited to find a community of kilt-wearers to get thoughts and ideas from. Just lurking for a few days I've already learned so much.

Helen

Hi Helen and welcome, from another chick, in St Louis, Missouri.
There really isn't anything much more appealing than watching the backside of a well kilted man, is there?

Welcome from not too far away: Bloomington (area) IL! There don't seem to be many kilt wearers in this region, so I'm glad to hear of another.
