Greetings from Indiana in the U-S of A :)
Hi, Everyone.
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mark and I started learning to play the bagpipes a couple of years ago, just for fun. I'm Filipino with no Scottish heritage but love the music. I've been performing a bit here and there and so I've started to acquire some of the kit, as most people seem to expect it (although most people don't expect a Filipino bagpiper!). In any event, I've taken a liking to wearing the kilt so I'm looking forward to learning from the folks here.
Best regards to all,
Mark

I didn't know there were any other Filipino pipers in Indiana! You might have seen this link already for a piper in the Philippines: http://www.pinoypiper.com/ I have a friend who calls me "his favorite Filipino bagpiper". The thing is, I'm the only piper he knows
And thanks to MacGumerait, it looks like we have the whole state of Indiana covered!

Welcome from Michigan!
I'm kilted for a casual work day. On the way in, I stopped at a local coffee shop and got the second most frequent question from a patron: "Where are your pipes?" Sad to say I don't play.
I say, "More power to ya!"
