Greetings from Lancaster, PA
Howdy Kilted Folk!
Just wanted to introduce myself to the boards. My wife of 13 years and I live in the City of Lancaster, PA, and are both longtime lovers of Celtic history, art and culture. We love to attend events such as Ren faires and Celtic festivals, especially Celtic Fling at Mt. Hope and the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem, PA.
To date, I only own two kilts, a black AmeriKilt that I wear clubbing and a 6+ yard, unsewn, wool belted plaid (great kilt) that I wear as period garb at Ren faires. I'm looking to purchase one or two PV tartan kilts in the very near future, and you can bet I'll be seeking your sage advice on what and where to buy. I've already learned a great deal from browsing the threads. I'll reserve my shopping questions for the appropriate forums; in the meantime, here's a shot of me at faire in the belted plaid:
