Greetings from the Land of Father Christmas
Hi! Greetings from the land of Father Christmas. Contrary to the common misbelief (at least in USA) he does not live on the North Pole
I have been browsing this site for a couple of weeks now and found this highly informative and interesting. Well, I have understood that some kind of an introduction is highly preferred here, so here I am.
I do not have any connection to Scotland or Ireland. None of my forefathers has used a kilt but some might have been raiding the coasts of Scotland with the vikings, maybe...
Got my first kilt just before Christmas, an 8yd black budget kilt from Buyakilt. I have been using it on some mostly family based informal occasions and I am now gathering courage to use it more. Why use a kilt in a country where no one uses it? I do not have any smart reason for that, it just has been in my mind a long time and now was the time to do it. After I have got the courage to wear it I have to figure out how to meet the Finnish winter with the kilt, or do I have to wait for milder weather conditions?

Welcome Kylahullu,
We have about six members from Finland. You are not the only kilt wearer in Finland by any means.
Do you hunt Santa's where you are? (sorry if some of our members don't know what I am referring to. A guy from Finland introduced me to Santa Hunting which may not be too well received by some of our more gentle members. So an inside joke.)
