Greetings from a long time lurker

Hello, Rabble!

I haven't had the urge to post, so I've just been lurking for the past couple years. But I'm ready to join in now.

I live in the south Puget Sound region and have gone to a few events hosted by OldHiker. So I've probably met a few of you, but it's been years.

I'm a typical, American mutt (surname is French) but have feelings of affinity for my German and Gaelic roots. I won my kilt in a raffle a few years ago at the Tacoma Highland Games. I wanted to pick the tartan of my ancestors, so consulted with my genealogy-focused brother to learn a maternal Great-grandmother was born MacLucas of Clan Lamont.

I love wearing my kilt and find it fits in great with Roller Derby crowds, Company Xmas parties, weddings, and black tie events.

Welcome from a couple hours South. If you're a long time lurker you already know there's a fair number of the rabble in the Sea-Tac area. Glad you decided to quit lurking and join in.
