Greetings from Newcastle upon Tyne.
Evening all.
I thought I was stop by and say Hello. I have recently acquired an evening kilt dress that looks to have some serious age. Comprising of Argyle jacket, Tam o'Shanter, belted fly plaid, goats hair sporran with silver chain (One item that will be featuring within a post soon), a day sporran, tartan breeches, sgian-dudh with silver detailing, a white metal broach with thistle and Celtic motif centred on an orange paste stone , together with two scarves.
I will be posting the collection in the near future in hopes to gather a wee bit of history. The clan in question is MacGregor and makers names attached to the Tam o'Shanter is 'W.Anderson & Sons Ltd (William Anderson, Founder of Kinloch Anderson) - So we are looking at Traditional Scottish attire here - Made in Scotland.
The first item under inspection is a goat hair sporran with Scottish silver chain. Where I will be looking to identify the Silver markings in place.
As a New Member the post is currently being reviewed before being submitted. Should anyone take interest in wanting to see the collection before I submit here , please feel free to contact me. Do stay tuned.
All the best,
Mr. Gillan Bell (3/4 Scots)

Not too far away from you, indeed when my wife and I travel, we cross the border into England as Newcastle has our nearest home airport.
