Greetings everyone from Northern Colorado, just outside Steamboat Springs. How fantastic it is to find a community of kilt wearers. I have long been an admirer of the kilt but, I myself am new to wearing it. I purchased my first kilt for hiking last year and I love it.
Not that this matters much here, but I am not Scottish at all. As far as I know there is not a drop of Scottish blood in me, at least as far back as four generations. I am German-German-PA Dutch and Swiss German, my surname is Swiss German. Though I do not have any desire to wear Lederhosen I have always admired the kilt. I'm not sure what took me so long to get one but now I am hooked. In fact I now have three.
I have been reading on this site for the last several weeks. May I offer my heartfelt thanks to all who have posted here. There is a seemingly endless wealth of information (and opinion!) on this site. Many questions have been answered.
