Greetings from Oklahoma
Oklahoma, the former Indian Nations. I grew up in a county named after the noted Choctaw family, McCurtain.
I have Scottish roots, a source of some pride but not to the extent of owning a kilt. But . . . my son's Troop is organizing a "Scottish Games" camporee and, with the aid of some of the talented moms and wives, have set about to making simple kilts for the occasion. The response has been very good among both the boys and the adults, myself included. Although I will not cut a dashing figure in a kilt, many of the boys will (youth is wasted on the young!) and it should be a grand event.
The kilt are simplified for both cost and manufacture, and of cotton material in deference to our normally warm climate.
I've turned to the internet for some general information, and this forum turns up a lot. So I figure this must be the place to be.

Welcome to the forum from

I have spent a couple of months on holidays, at different times, in Beggs, not that far from Tulsa. Even gave several talks about Australia to the students of the High School there. Had a great time. Cheers
